COA verification guide

How to verify a Freedom Diagnostics Testing COA

Check a certificate with the laboratory that issued it, not with the seller. These are the steps we use ourselves (check L3 in How we rate). Research use only.

Four steps

  1. Find the code on the certificate

Each certificate prints a search code, a short string of letters and digits that identifies the report.

  2. Open the laboratory's own lookup

Open coas.freedomdiagnosticstesting.com/<code>.pdf, replacing <code> with the search code exactly as printed. Type the address yourself rather than following a link from the seller, and make sure the page is on the laboratory's own domain.

  3. Compare the result with the vendor's copy

A real code returns the laboratory's own PDF (an HTTP 200 response) hosted on the laboratory's domain. Compare its product, lot, client, test date, purity and quantity with the vendor's copy. The product, lot, client name, test date, purity and quantity should all match; any difference in these is a material difference.

  4. Run the control check

An invented code returns 404 (not found). If a made-up code also returns a report, the lookup proves nothing. Change one character of a real code and look it up again: a lookup that answers every code proves nothing.

Our check (L3, pass): On 2026-10-22 the search code on a NuScience certificate returned the laboratory's PDF, and an invented code returned 404.
