COA verification guide

How to verify a Horizon Analytical COA

Check a certificate with the laboratory that issued it, not with the seller. These are the steps we use ourselves (check L3 in How we rate). Research use only.

Four steps

  1. Find the code on the certificate

Each certificate prints a report number.

  2. Open the laboratory's own lookup

Search the number on the laboratory's verify page. Type the address yourself rather than following a link from the seller, and make sure the page is on the laboratory's own domain.

  3. Compare the result with the vendor's copy

A real number returns the report record. The product, lot, client name, test date, purity and quantity should all match; any difference in these is a material difference.

  4. Run the control check

An invented number returns no record. Change one character of a real code and look it up again: a lookup that answers every code proves nothing.

Our check (L3, pass): On 2026-10-22 the lab's lookup returned report 1000060 and no record for an invented number.

Only confirmed certificates count toward the testing gate (rule A9). We have confirmed 90 of 91 certificates naming Horizon Analytical, from 6 vendors; the vendors are listed on the Horizon Analytical profile. For what every field on a certificate means, read how to read a peptide COA.
