Enter the key at the laboratory's verification page, or open the verify.janoshik.com address printed on the report. Type the address yourself rather than following a link from the seller, and make sure the page is on the laboratory's own domain.
Compare the result with the vendor's copy
A real key opens the report on verify.janoshik.com, the laboratory's own subdomain, with the same sample details as the vendor's copy. The product, lot, client name, test date, purity and quantity should all match; any difference in these is a material difference.
Run the control check
An invented key returns an empty page with no report. Change one character of a real code and look it up again: a lookup that answers every code proves nothing.
