COA verification guide

How to verify a PuriLab Analytical COA

Check a certificate with the laboratory that issued it, not with the seller. These are the steps we use ourselves (check L3 in How we rate). Research use only.

Lab profile →

A lookup confirms that the laboratory issued a report; it does not establish who the laboratory is. PuriLab Analytical is tier D in our directory because its existence or independence is not established, so its certificates score a flat 2.0 under rule A3 whether or not the lookup confirms them. See the lab profile for the checks.

Four steps

  1. Find the code on the certificate

Each certificate prints a verification code.

  2. Open the laboratory's own lookup

Open purilab.org/verify/<code>, replacing <code> with the code as printed. Type the address yourself rather than following a link from the seller, and make sure the page is on the laboratory's own domain.

  3. Compare the result with the vendor's copy

A real code returns the report record and a laboratory-hosted PDF. The product, lot, client name, test date, purity and quantity should all match; any difference in these is a material difference.

  4. Run the control check

An invented code returns 'Certificate not found'. Change one character of a real code and look it up again: a lookup that answers every code proves nothing.

Our check (L3, pass): On 2026-11-02 purilab.org/verify/BT-C0GA-WHKT returned the record for report BT-2026-011 and the laboratory-hosted PDF, and an invented code returned 'Certificate not found'.

What a confirmation is worth in our scores

Because PuriLab Analytical is tier D, a confirmed key adds nothing: every certificate from it scores a flat 2.0 and none counts toward the testing gate. We have confirmed 2 of 2 certificates naming PuriLab Analytical, from 1 vendor; the vendors are listed on the PuriLab Analytical profile. For what every field on a certificate means, read how to read a peptide COA.
