Is Transition Biotech legit?
Transition Biotech scores 7.98 out of 10 (Strong, #6 of 100) as of October 22, 2026 and passes our testing gate: all 10 products we score carry a certificate, 10 confirmed with the issuing lab (a lab we grade A-). Its strongest area is pricing (9.5/10); its weakest is operating history (1.8/10), with about eleven months of records.
On lab evidence, the heaviest-weighted factor, Transition Biotech has independently verified third-party COAs, with COA work on record from Kovera Labs. Its lowest price per milligram in our data is on NAD+ (see the table below).
How this score was calculated
Every point below follows the published tables in our methodology, with the policy wording we scored and a link to where we read it. Evidence last checked October 22, 2026. Lab credibility is worked product by product from the certificates on file.
Lab credibility9.2/10
Each carried product (lab supplies excluded) is scored from the certificate on file for it, on the published lab rubric: 3 for a published certificate, then points for the laboratory, the verification key, the tests on the certificate and its purity, held to 0 to 10. A certificate that is self-issued, names no laboratory, or comes from a laboratory whose independence is not established scores a flat 2.0; a product with no certificate, a certificate the laboratory’s own record fails, or a posted copy that differs materially from the laboratory’s copy scores 0. Calculated on , the day this page was built; the date each certificate was tested is shown on its row.

Mean of 10 products: 92.0 ÷ 10 = 9.200.
No adjustments.
9.200 = 9.200, rounded to 0.1: 9.2/10.
Testing gate: 10 of 10 products have a certificate from a directory laboratory (not tier D, not self-issued) with the key confirmed at the laboratory. That is at least half, so the vendor counts as third-party tested and no cap applies.

Audit history and why the rating changed
We re-audit vendors against their live COAs and site. Here is what most recently moved this rating, and why.
See the full score history and chart
- Most recent audit · 7.91to7.98
Re-scored on 22 October 2026 under our published rubric for shipping, pricing, operating history and transparency, applied to every vendor the same day: prices re-read from the vendor's site and matched by milligrams per vial, operating history from the earliest dated evidence of the business, and policies scored item by item. shipping and refunds 5.3 to 6.0, transparency 5.5 to 4.0. Note added 22 October 2026: a score on this entry was corrected from 7.97 to 7.98; it had been rounded down instead of half up.
- Audit · 7.87to7.91
Re-scored on 22 October 2026 under our published rubric for shipping, pricing, operating history and transparency, applied to every vendor the same day: prices re-read from the vendor's site and matched by milligrams per vial, operating history from the earliest dated evidence of the business, and policies scored item by item. pricing 9.0 to 9.5, operating history 2.5 to 1.8.
- Audit · 7.60to7.87
Lab score recalculated on 22 October 2026 under the uniform published rubric applied to every vendor: the rapid sterility screen on its Kovera Labs certificates now earns the sterility-screen point. Lab 8.7 to 9.2.
Earlier audits (3)
- Audit · 6.94to7.60
Lab 7.5 to 8.7. The earlier 7.5 deducted for Kovera's undisclosed accreditation, which our rubric already accounts for, and for a single testing round, which is not a rubric adjustment. Recomputed under our published rule, which averages the lab score over the products we list and counts a listed product with no certificate as zero: all ten listed products carry Kovera certificates confirmed at the laboratory with endotoxin and heavy-metals results. The microbial result is a rapid screen, so it is no longer credited as a sterility test.
- Audit · 6.90to6.94
Vendor-requested price refresh, verified against the live store (all 11 prices match). Pricing rose from 8.5 to 9.0: the ten carried products now average about 0.55x the market median, with every one below it. Shipping eased from 5.5 to 5.3 because the free-shipping offer above an order minimum, one of the two reasons for the October 4 raise, has been retired; the same-day dispatch cutoff still stands. The lab rating is unchanged; this update is not new testing evidence. Note added 22 October 2026: a score on this entry was corrected from 6.93 to 6.94; it had been rounded down instead of half up.
- Audit · 6.50to6.90
Vendor-requested catalog refresh, verified against the live site. Pricing rose from 6.5 to 8.5 because all ten carried products now price below the market median per milligram, a median of 0.72x, after price cuts on several products. Shipping rose from 5.0 to 5.5 on a newly published same-day dispatch cutoff and a free-shipping threshold. The lab rating is unchanged, because the certificate library is still the same single July round from a laboratory that does not publicly disclose an accreditation.
Editor’s notes
Transition Biotech is a small US vendor whose documentation is unusually complete for its size. All ten certificates in its public library come from Kovera Labs, and when we checked on 22 September 2026 all ten report numbers resolved at koveralabs.com/verify, with the laboratory's copy matching the vendor's file on client, batch, purity, net content and date. Each panel covers LC-MS identity, RP-HPLC purity (99.37% to 99.85%), net content, endotoxin, a rapid microbial sterility screen, heavy metals and pH. Every measured net content except NAD+ (492.76 mg of 500 mg, 1.4% under) came in at or above label. Each vial carries a QR code linking to its batch report on the laboratory's site. The certificates come from a single testing round in July 2026, Kovera does not publicly disclose an accreditation, and the reconstitution solution has no lot certificate. On 22 October 2026 the site named Transition Biotech LLC, gave a business mailing address at a private mailbox in Miami, Florida and a registered-agent address in Sheridan, Wyoming, and named no principal; it says testing, warehousing and fulfilment are handled by third parties. All sales are final except verified shipping damage. Standard US shipping is calculated from the destination and the packed order, with a 12:00 PM Mountain same-day cutoff. On 22 October 2026 every carried product sat below the market median per milligram. The domain was registered in December 2025.
